祕魯 La Margarita Gesha

I wasn’t expecting such a clean, sweet cup from a Peruvian coffee, but this Gesha’s delicate florals and soft body are a total standout for my morning pour-over. The microclimate really seems to do something special here.

The altitude really shows in the cup—this Gesha from Cusco has this bright, delicate body that feels almost tea-like, and the sweetness lingers just long enough to make you slow down between sips. I brewed it as a pour-over and the clarity was stunning, exactly what I hoped for from a Southern Peru

The sweetness in this one really comes through in the cup—almost like a honeyed tea, so delicate for a coffee grown at such high altitudes. I’ve been brewing it in my pour-over and each batch feels softer than the last, a lovely change from the heavier South American beans I normally grab.
