Colombia El Tambo-AMACA (5LB)

I got this 5lb bag as a change of pace and the first pour smelled like caramel and orange peel. Knowing it comes from a women's association in the Western Cordillera makes me glad I bought in bulk.

I usually stick to one region for my morning pour-over, but this lot from the Western Cordillera has a bright red-apple acidity that's made me reconsider. Knowing it comes from a women's association makes the daily ritual feel a little more meaningful.

The 5lb bag is a lot of coffee, but it's been worth clearing space in the cupboard for. Roasted light enough that I can still taste the orange peel notes, and knowing it comes from a women's association makes it easy to keep reordering.
