The whole-bean bag actually lists the roast date, which I didn't expect from a coffee at this price. Pulled a shot this morning and got a syrupy, chocolatey cup with barely any bitterness. It's become my default morning bag.

I bought this after reading about the "public label" concept, and I have to say, it feels good to support a roaster-colleague partnership rather than a faceless brand. The beans arrived fresh and the whole story behind the bag made the morning brew taste even better.

First sip and I already get what they mean by "public label"—it's a coffee that owns its story, and the roast has a real depth that lingers nicely. The bag reseals well too, so it stays fresh for the week. This one's earned a permanent spot in my morning rotation.
